Since we had a heatwave here in NH for 4 days over the weekend, I spent a lot of time in the basement in my quilt room. Probably because it was 98 outside and probably 78 in the basement! And as a result, I got a lot of sewing done. My very favorite thing I did was this bag...
I just love the combination of the orange Amy Butler dots and the orange Kaffe fabric - they scream creamsicle to me! And just to make it really girly I added a ruffle to the outside pocket and some pink ric-rac. There is no doubt that this is a girly-girl bag!
Onto the new 'do' part of the title - I had a haircut a couple of weeks ago. Usually nothing major in one's life, except I hadn't had one for 2 years and my hair was down to my waist. I think this is a vast improvement - so much fresher and easier to look after. Much healthier looking too - tends to happen when you hack off dry and frizzy split ends! It took me this long to figure out that hubby's camera has a timer function on it and that it is quite simple to use. I hate that he insists on having the date on his photos. Silly man! And it is a little fuzzy, but hey I was doing this all by myself!
Tuesday the kids and I are off to Utah for almost the whole Summer vacation - 6 weeks! We are super excited. I will no doubt find all sorts of quilty and non-quilty things to blog about:) And the very day after we arrive, I get to meet Nanette from Freda's Hive! If you haven't already, you must visit her blog - she does such fantastic stuff.
