Tasty Tuesday

It's been a few weeks since I did a Tasty Tuesday post so it's definitely overdue! I make some pretty yummy chicken fingers and thought you'd like to know how I make them. We had them for lunch today (the kids are off school for Winter Break) and they were a huge hit. We added some fruit kabobs with yogurt dip and the kids were in heaven!

I love the Chick fil-A chicken but when you want to feed a whole family it's not that cheap so I came up with my own version which I think tastes pretty good. The secret is powdered sugar. Yes, you read that right - powdered sugar!

Here's the recipe:

In a bowl mix together:

1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp White pepper
1/2 tsp Black pepper
Pinch Chinese 5 Spice

In another bowl mix 1 egg and 1/2 cup milk

Cut 3 chicken breast fillets into finger strips. Coat with egg/milk mix, then flour mix. Fry, eat, done! You could also try baking them if you don't want to fry them. I doubt they'll taste as good but would be a healthier alternative.

I do my version of the Chick fil-A sandwich but without the pickle.
I'm just not a pickle person! Mayo is all I need! Absolutely delicious. Enjoy!

Powdered sugar? I would have never guessed! It definitely looks just like Chick-fil-a chicken.
My aunt used to have a friend who called it "Chick flick" and she really thought that was the name of it. So now, of course, that is what we all call it.
