First off, thanks for all the comments about a basting tutorial - it overwhelmingly seems like you want one! So I'll get working on that for Monday or Tuesday. Luckily I took photos as I was basting last night!
Onto things I've seen this week...
First up is this amazing rug/wallhanging/art, which you can see more of HERE.
Isn't that amazing? Even better, there's a tutorial to show you how to make your own!...You can see it HERE.
I must be in the DIY mood, because I also fell in love with this wreath...
There isn't a tutorial (it's from BH&Gardens and I searched and searched to no avail for one) but I think it would be pretty simple. It's a plastic ceiling medallion like you get at Home Depot/Lowes. Looks to me like you could just spray paint it, use an antiquing medium, and hang it. Pretty simple, and SO pretty!
There are more images of medallions used as wall art HERE. Worth a look if you like them!
Thirdly, something to drink. Here in New Hampshire it's a hot sticky night. We just polished off a cold crisp watermelon but I'm still craving something cold. Doesn't this look like the perfect Summer drink?...
I would make it sans the vodka (not a drinker!) but looking at the ingredients HERE it sounds a lot like the strawberry limeades at Sonic - only my favorite drink ever. I won't tell you how many times I made my in-laws go to happy hour at Sonic on our visit to Utah this Summer. No no I won't... (we have no Sonic in NH!)
I don't think we can buy them in Australia, would be lovely in my new kitchen
ReplyDeleteSo crafty! Thanks so much for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a group of lovelies, especially the swirl tapestry, I'm mad for that.
ReplyDeleteI'm definately going to make the wreath, it's right up my architectural alley (and on my pinterest). Thinking about making them in different colors, then I could use them all year!
