I love this skirt so much! It is called a twirly skirt, and you can find the instructions here
at House on Hill Road.
The verdict? The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and as evidenced by these photos, the skirt is, indeed, twirly!
Best thing is, it only took me around a half hour to make it from start to finish. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! I think it took me longer to pick the fabrics than to make the skirt. I didn't decide to make it until 11.30 at night, and by 12.30 it was all done. So get yourself a yard of fabric and make a twirly skirt for a cute little girl in your life - or get a couple of yards and make one for yourself!
Oh my gosh Joanna, it is so incredibly darling. And its like they say on Project Runway "you know she loved wearing it". That is one of the best things. It is beautiful and your daughter is doubly beautiful in it. I'd be making dozens of them but I have no little ones to sew for - yet.
I think I will make one for my sweet little girl. Thanks for sharing.
this is so darling and fun to twirl in too!
What a cute, fun skirt! Your daughter looks like she loves the skirt also. You probably hear this all the time but your daughter looks just like you, very pretty.
I Love twirly skirts; as a girl I found it to be so much fun! Sophia looks like a rock star, woo-hoo!
She looks beautiful, and her twirly skirt is so pretty and coordinated with her top. It makes me remember how much I loved twirly skirts when I was a girl. all the pictures are incredible. Maybe I'll make a couple for my littlest granddaughter.
P.S. I just blew up the top picture to take a better look, and she looks like such a little lady, even has her little ankles crossed.
Half an hour! WHAT a cute skirt! Thanks for the pattern review.
Hey, did you notice that the skirt twirls? Cute, cute skirt.
AWESOME!!! I am going to have to make those for my little girls! (and perhaps my neices too) That way we can all be matchy matchy!
So cute! Thanks for sharing.
Kaffe Fasset's asian circles, right? just so gorgeous! I will need to make 4.
Oooh Love the twirly skirt!!!!
Oh, she looks so darling in it and pleased! What a lovely skirt. Well done you!
I left you something on my blog !
Cute skirt--cuter girl! Give her a hug from Grandma!
Such a cute skirt! I wish my girls were still twirly. On second thought, maybe I should give them a chance.
Thanks for stopping by my blog...we must be in the same stake and you do look familiar :)
