I stayed up until 3 this morning to get it done, but done it is, and I am so glad I got it done before the end of the year.
This quilt has dragged on way too long. I started quilting it at 10 last night, finished that at 12, then it took me 3 hours to bind it. I have never timed myself before, and found it interesting that it takes me longer to bind a quilt than to quilt it. I would have thought the opposite was true.
All I have to say now is - ehhh - I'm not quilting again until next year!

I just love this quilt. The colors are so bright and happy. The applique is a wonderful touch. Great job! :o)

It's beautiful! Great job getting it done before the new year.
It looks perfect over your red couch.
It's gorgeous! Congratulations on getting it completed before the new year. I bet it won't take you long before you're itching to do another project. ;-)
This is gorgeous. Good Job!
Oh, good for you! A fabulous finish! I am sometimes quite quick to get a top made, but then drag out making the back, getting it quilted, and then doing something with it -- like hanging it. I am impressed that you quilt is already up and being enjoyed! So pretty!
LOVE IT! I love the swirly quilting you did! Great work!
And doesn't it feel good to complete a project!
Wow! What a beauty!
That looks amazing hanging there above the couch. What a terrific job you have made of it.

It is really beautiful! It looks fantastic on that wall!
Great job and with that great quilting that I just cannot do! And no yellow border! You have chosen and executed well.
The picture doesn't do it justice. You've outdone yourself, yet again!

Wow, great effort in finishing. It looks fabulous. I always fool myself by how long I think the binding takes too.
It is beautiful and reflects your happy, vibrant nature. What a great gift to everyone who sees it, completing 2009 as a celebration of life.
I have two Amish quilts that have been in the cupboard for three years since we moved. Time to get them out and celebrate our journeys. Happy New Year moira x
Love it! The border turned out beautiful!!!
....LOL....I CAN'T BELIEVE WE WERE
UP AT THE SAME TIME LAST NIGHT DOING THE VERY SAME THING..( I finished mine at 2 am though ) I posted my 'night owl' project just a while ago.
I must say...I like your little year end quilt. I'm just in love with the colors and you have a perfect place to hang it and enjoy!
I'm really taken by the applique around the edges!!
You're the best, girl. Just gorgeous. I still am partial to the blue and red one of this version, but this one is just as beautiful as you! Happy New Year.

There's so much to love about this beautiful quilt that I just don't know where to start! The colors are lovely, the quilting pattern (stitching) swirls and twirls and makes me feel happy just looking at it and the applique is just the frosting on the cake.

Work from home India
Beautiful! I stayed up late on New Year's Eve just to finish a certain quilt before 2010. :)
I love, love, love this quilt and your color choices. Yes, binding is a process. I quilt for others and the binding is usually as much or more than the quilting price wise. I enjoyed peeking into your quilt world today, great work!
