My Pumpkins
I don't do a lot of seasonal decorating. I wish I did - it's one of the things I love about America, how everyone really gets into the different holidays and seasons and decorates accordingly. I'm a slow learner but I'm getting there! My home is decorated year round, just not for any particular season.
However, I do have this recessed space in the wall when you walk in the house and each Fall I use it to put up all my pumpkin framed quilts. It normally holds some of my milk glass collection, and instead of putting that all away, I just work it into the mix!
I made these the first year we lived in the house, 2007, and they come out every year at this time. I also made the pumpkin wall hanging which was originally made to be a table runner but every year it ends up on the wall!
Do you all decorate for the seasons?!
It seems to me that you have a good start of fall decorating quilts with all those pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteYour milk glass collection looks good to me. I used to have several Fenton milk glass pieces but sold them years ago. I am still a glass collector but just not milk glass. It is more appealing to me now than it used to be but I just don't have room for it now.
Love all the pumpkins.....They are all just so very cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Fall/Pumpkins display looks wonderful-- so festive! (And the milk glass collection is pretty, too). I'm not a big holiday/seasonal decorator, but I usually do something for Fall/Halloween (although I haven't put stuff out yet this year and its already the 3rd week of Oct!). I didn't make the pumpkins from your tute (yet-- I still hope to get to it). Enjoy the season!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you see comments on previous posts, so I had to leave a message here saying how great the salon curtains look! Plus, I love all of your pumpkins. Thanks for the inspiration!
