Last night I worked a little more on some houses...
I think I might just keep these. Too cute! And I did what us quilters do best - cut up perfectly good fabric and sewed it up into a new piece of fabric!
Stay tuned to see what this will become... Today I actually have a free day, so I am going to get off this computer and head down to the basement and dare myself to cut up the Katie Jump Rope fabrics. Think I can do it?!

makes us seem a bit nuts...cut up perfectly good fabric and sew it into new fabric. that's one way to look at it for sure!
Katie Jump Rope is such a great fabric...I haven't been able to bring myself to cut into mine yet, but I'd love to see what you decide to make!
Your houses are coming along so cute! I love the bright happy fabrics.
Very cute - all of it. I love the houses and the fabric - remade is cute, I can't wait to see what you will do.

Those houses are as cute as a button! (Two buttons even!!) the colours are great. I love that you end up "making your own fabric". Can't wait to see what you do with it. No pressure or anything!! :)

Oh I just love your houses and i need to wipe the drool off my keyboard for that "new" piece of pink fabric. Can't wait to see what it becomes.
Warm and cozy and yours--what more could a quilter want? Obviously it's agreeing with you--look at that lovely "new" fabric!
Hi Joanna
I just found your blog from browsing. I see you are originally a kiwi. Hello to you from home:-)
Why does no one complain about carpenters or builders or joiners cutting up perfectly good bits of wood and nailing/glueing them back together??? Or perhaps they do and I'm just hunkered down in the quilting world :-)
PS I got to your blog via All About Applique
