Little Purse

I had spent some time in my quilt room the other night, and when I came out my husband said, "So were you making a bag?" I just laughed and said, "Yes, how did you know?!" To which he repied, "Well you're going to a quilt show on Saturday and you always make a new bag when you go to a quilt show!" Now that is a husband who knows me better than I know myself!

I've had these woolens that were just calling out to be made into a bag. I rather fancied the idea of a purse made with the soft wool and some modern Kaffe fabric, so that is just what I did. When I showed my hubby, he said, "No it's not you - too conservative". Then I flipped it open and said, "Oh really?!"Even the flowers on the front got the Kaffe treatment...Yes, the outside is rather conservative for me, but the inside is thoroughly me. It's just the right size to hold my phone, camera, breath mints, lipstick, and the pocket is perfect for money and cards. At first I made it with a long shoulder strap... (I just want to flick that white thing out of the way!)... but it just wasn't quite right, so off came the long strap. The short one is much better. And now for something completely different... I know some people are already decorating for Christmas, but it's still Fall ...and I refuse to put up Christmas decorations until December! So pumpkins it is:)

And onto something simple but exciting (hey it doesn't take much to make my day!)...hubby came home the other day with a pizza stone for me. A friend at his work had a Pampered Chef party, but we couldn't make it. Unbeknownst to me he ordered the large pizza stone. That was a great surprise for me, and it makes the best crust on my bread, and pizza too! Yum!

Great purse! I like the burst of gorgeous Kaffe Fassett on the inside. It makes it a fun purse to use but perhaps more practical because it won't clash with lots of outfits. But then again, I'm the woman who once used an orange purse for an entire year regardless of outfit color. Hmm, it may be time to transfer everything back to that one.

Wow! So much eye candy today. I like that the purse is a little conservative (the gray) but a little sassy, too. It's a nice combination. How sweet that your husband knows you so well. I don't think my husband will ever figure me out (LOL)! Although he was very sweet the other day after I admitted that I had overspent on fabric and birthday gifts for the kids this month and then he went out to get the mail, carrying in two packages of fabric for me (ooops). He just smiled and said, "Here's more fabric for you".

Very cute purse. And I love your quilted/framed pumpkins... they are fabulous! And lucky you on the new baking stone... I've heard the Pampered Chef ones are just fabulous. (That bread looks scrumptious!)

OK, so you should have put a can of ...I mean a bottle of water, next to that purse so you could really show the size of that cutie. It's really deceiving. Now I need to post about yor bag... LOL! I just remembered something really funny about the show, LOL!

THe inside of that little purse, such a vibrant burst, and you can easily pass that on to Sofia...I am with you sister, too, on keeping Fall as Fall! And I barely decorate for Fall, if at all!! Ha! but Christmas loses it's specialness when it comes too early. So I thought that we were going to see what kind of damage you did to your bank account at the quilt show!! How empty of loot was that little purse when you came home?

I love your purse, especially because of the beautiful Kaffe fabric.
And the pumpkins in frames are a great idea too! I'll have to remember that one.

Oh I LOVE you little purse, how clever. I think the shorter handle is the best, fabulous. Do you think pizza goes well in the post?!! xo
