Yesterday while I finished up the teddy bear my 10 year old girl tried her hand at buttonhole applique for the first time. I did 3 stitches to show her how it's done and then she was off.
Now that she has the idea of how the stitch works, we'll work on the finer details of the stitch!
Update: Sofia worked hard on her wool piece today after church and she has improved! I noticed that she changed the direction the stitch was worked so it works a lot better for her now. And her stitch improved as you can see on these corner circles...
